Bell 206: Destination San Diego

On August 23, the Bell 206L-23 helicopter, departed from the National Police Aviation School in the municipality of Mariquita (Tolima). It was packed in a 40-foot container on a plane to San Diego (California),

The aircraft is part of the great Bell Helicopter Textron family, is an extended variant (Long Rider) of the Bell 206B Jet Ranger and it has been in service since 1992.

The Bell 206L has been used in police and military missions, patrol work, offshore operations, emergency medical services, corporate transportation and aerial surveillance tasks in large urban centers. The helicopter can carry up to seven people and has a range of up to 665 km and a cruising speed of 205 km / h.

The aircraft departed from Mariquita (Tolima) on August 23 with a stop in the city of Cartagena to finally arrive in San Diego on the 29th of the same month.
